INTRODUCTION
ACRICE is a
conference that tackles challenges on teaching chemistry in Africa. It provides
an excellent platform for educators, researchers, and practitioners to share
insights, discuss innovative approaches, and address challenges in teaching and
learning chemistry as well as other disciplines and education in general.
There will
also be side events such as workshops and trainings.
CONFERENCE TOPICS
The conference will
involve a wide range of topics including but not limited to:

WORKSHOPS/ SIDE SESSIONS
- IUPAC Teacher Survey on Green and Sustainable Chemistry - Practical
activities project
- Workshop/symposium on green and sustainable chemistry hands-on
practical activities suitable for local teachers/educators.
REGISTRATION
The
registration fees for the event are US$ 250 and US$ 180 for scientists and
students respectively or their equivalent in Tanzanian shillings. Other
categories of prices are found in the registration form.
The
registration fees will cover lunches, tea breaks and conference materials.

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
Abstracts of both papers and posters should bear the title, names of
authors, affiliation and contact details and should not exceed 300 words in
word (doc/docx) format. Posters should be of A0 Size.

ACCOMMODATION AND RESERVATION
Dar es Salaam has a variety of hotels
with a wide range of prices from 30 to 150 US$. Please contact the local organizing
committee for help in reservation.
TRAVEL AND VISA INFORMATION
Dar es Salaam is accessed through Julius
Nyerere International Airport (JNIA).
Visas can to be applied for in the Tanzanian
embassy/commission in your country or at the nearest Tanzania Embassy or High
Commission. Some countries are exempted from visa applications while others can
obtain visa at the port of entry. For detailed information about visa
